Percent Match Blackjack is a free novelty Blackjack game that combines traditional Blackjack with a unique Percent Match system. As you play, the game estimates how strongly your current hand matches up against the dealer and compares possible moves such as Hit, Stand, and Double.
The game is designed for entertainment and educational purposes and does not involve real-money wagering.
The Goal of the Game
The goal is to finish with a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer without going over 21.
If your hand goes over 21, you bust and the dealer wins the round.
Card Values
- Number cards 2 through 10 are worth their displayed value.
- Jack, Queen, and King are each worth 10.
- An Ace can count as either 1 or 11, depending on which value produces the better hand.
- A two-card hand consisting of an Ace and a 10-value card is Blackjack.
How to Start a Game
Click New Round to deal the cards.
You and the dealer receive cards. One of the dealer’s cards is hidden while you decide what to do with your hand.
The game then displays your current Blackjack hand together with the Percent Match information.

Understanding Percent Match
Percent Match is an estimated percentage showing the strength of your current Blackjack situation against the dealer.
For example:
Percent Match: 78%
A higher percentage generally indicates a stronger position against the dealer, while a lower percentage indicates a more difficult situation.
Percent Match is calculated using simulated Blackjack outcomes and the cards that are available for the player to see.
The percentage is an estimate and does not guarantee that a particular hand will win.
Recommended Move
One of the special features of Percent Match Blackjack is the Recommended Move system.
The game compares available decisions and displays estimated Percent Match percentages for moves such as:
HIT — 67% Match
STAND — 54% Match
DOUBLE — 72% Match
The move with the strongest estimated result is highlighted as the Recommended Move.
This lets you compare possible Blackjack decisions instead of relying only on the value of your current hand.
Hit
Choose Hit when you want another card.
The new card is added to your hand and your hand value is recalculated.
The Percent Match system will also update based on your new hand.
You may continue hitting while the game permits it.
If your hand exceeds 21, you bust and the dealer wins the round.
Stand
Choose Stand when you are satisfied with your hand and do not want another card.
The dealer’s hidden card is revealed and the dealer completes the hand according to the game’s dealer rules.
The game then compares your final hand with the dealer’s hand and determines the winner.
Double
Choose Double when you want to take exactly one additional card and then automatically stand.
Because Percent Match Blackjack is a novelty game without real-money wagering, the Double button represents the Blackjack decision rather than an actual monetary wager.
The Recommended Move system can compare Double with Hit and Stand when that option is available.
Dealer Rules
After the player stands or completes a Double, the dealer’s hidden card is revealed.
The dealer continues drawing cards according to the game’s programmed Blackjack rules and stands when the required dealer total is reached.
Winning a Round
You win when:
- Your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s without exceeding 21.
- The dealer busts and you have not busted.
- Your valid Blackjack hand defeats the dealer’s final hand.
The dealer wins when:
- Your hand exceeds 21.
- The dealer finishes closer to 21 than you.
- The dealer has the winning Blackjack hand under the game’s rules.
If both hands finish with the same value, the round is recorded as a Push.
Dealer vs. You Scorecard
At the bottom of the game is a running Dealer vs. You Scorecard.
The scorecard tracks:
You — Number of rounds you have won.
Dealer — Number of rounds won by the dealer.
Pushes — Number of tied rounds.
Total Rounds — Total number of completed rounds.
You can use Reset Score to begin a new scorecard.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Percent Match Blackjack?
Percent Match Blackjack is a novelty version of Blackjack that adds percentage-based hand analysis and recommended-move comparisons to the traditional game.
What does the Percent Match percentage mean?
The Percent Match percentage is an estimate of how favorable your current Blackjack position is against the dealer based on simulated outcomes.
It is intended to provide an easy-to-understand comparison of your current situation.
Does 80% Percent Match mean I have an 80% guaranteed chance of winning?
No. Blackjack contains randomness, and no percentage can guarantee the result of the next cards.
Percent Match percentages are estimates generated for entertainment and informational purposes.
Why does the Percent Match percentage change after I take a card?
Every new card changes the value and composition of your hand. Because your situation against the dealer has changed, the game recalculates the Percent Match estimate.
What is the Recommended Move?
Recommended Move compares available Blackjack decisions and identifies the option with the strongest estimated Percent Match.
Depending on the hand, it may recommend:
Hit
Stand
or
Double
Do I have to follow the Recommended Move?
No. The recommendation is informational only.
You are always free to choose your own move.
Why can Hit and Stand have different Percent Match percentages?
Standing keeps your current hand exactly as it is.
Hitting introduces another card and creates many possible new outcomes. The game simulates those possible outcomes when estimating the Hit percentage.
How is Double different from Hit?
A Hit lets you receive another card and potentially make another decision afterward.
A Double represents taking exactly one additional card and then automatically standing.
What is a Push?
A Push occurs when you and the dealer finish with the same valid Blackjack total.
Neither side receives a win on the Dealer vs. You scorecard. Instead, the Push total increases.
What happens if I go over 21?
Going over 21 is called a bust.
If you bust, the dealer wins that round.
What happens if the dealer goes over 21?
If the dealer busts and your hand has not already busted, you win the round.
What is a Blackjack?
A traditional Blackjack is a two-card hand containing an Ace and a card worth 10, such as a 10, Jack, Queen, or King.
Does the dealer know my cards?
The game uses both hands internally to operate the round, but the Percent Match calculation is designed around the Blackjack information available to the player during play.
Does Percent Match know the dealer’s hidden card?
The Percent Match system does not use the dealer’s hidden card as secret information to artificially improve the player’s displayed recommendation before that card is revealed.
Instead, possible outcomes are estimated from the information available during the hand.
Is Percent Match Blackjack a real-money gambling game?
No.
Percent Match Blackjack is intended as an entertainment, educational, and novelty game. The game itself does not require players to wager real money or anything of value.
Can I win money or prizes?
No money, prizes, or other items of value are awarded by the game.
Is the Recommended Move gambling advice?
No.
Recommended moves and Percent Match calculations are computer-generated estimates presented for entertainment and educational purposes. They should not be considered gambling, financial, or professional advice.
Will the same hand always produce the same result?
No.
Blackjack involves randomly dealt cards. Even a strong hand can lose, and a weaker hand can sometimes win.
The percentage describes an estimated situation rather than predicting the exact next card.
What does Reset Score do?
Reset Score clears the running Dealer vs. You scorecard so you can begin a new match.
Can I play multiple rounds?
Yes.
After a round ends, click New Round to deal another hand. Your Dealer vs. You scorecard continues tracking the match until it is reset or the game session is restarted.
